Procedure to Wear :-  The Gauri Shankar Rudraksh bead should be worn in a white thread.

Alternatively it should be worn in a Gold Chain

But Sages advise to wear it in a thread

When you are not wearing it on body you may keep it in a box after applying a tilak of Kumkum/Vermillion on it

It is passed on from one generation to the another and is indicative of the good fortune of the family

Origin of Rudraksha :- "Rudraksha" has its etymological origin in the Sanskrit words, Rudra and Aksha.

Rudra is another name for Lord Shiva, and aksha means teardrop

Mythological tales have it that the Rudraksha plant was born out of Lord Shivas tear drops.

Ancient scriptures, such as Shiva Purana, Padma Purana and Srimad Bhagavad mention the greatness and wonderful powers of the Rudraksha.

It is believed that one who wears Rudraksha is untouched by sins, and is protected from all impious deeds or thoughts.
